Financial

The cost of treatment depends on the complexity of the patient's treatment needs. We will discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We offer in-office financing as well as outside credit options. We work with numerous insurance companies in filing the necessary paperwork to obtain orthodontic benefits. In the case that flexible spending benefits are available to pay for orthodontic treatment, please discuss available funds with our treatment coordinator or billing office. IRS guidelines for use of flexible benefits for orthodontics are different than for other types of healthcare. It is advisable that you discuss your desired use of your funds with the administrator of your flexible spending plan.

Fees

We strive to provide the highest level of orthodontic treatment while keeping costs and fees down. Please read our financial policies:

We offer a 3% fee discount for payment in full at the start of treatment with payment with cash or a check, or a 2% fee discount for payment in full with a debit/credit card.. If your treatment is covered under insurance, the discount will be applied to your portion of the fee that is not covered by insurance.

If you prefer to pay for treatment over a period of time, we can make arrangements for you to make monthly payments on an automatic recurring basis by credit card, debit card or ACH debit.

For your convenience, we accept payment by cash, check, VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DISCOVER and ACH debit.

Insurance

If you have insurance, we will determine the coverage available from your plan prior to the start of treatment. Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is ultimately responsible to the patient and the patient is ultimately responsible to the doctor. We will assist in every way in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf. However, any change in employment or elected insurance coverage may result in termination of benefits and/or a possible refund request from your insurance company. If that occurs, you will be responsible for the remaining balance unpaid by or refunded to the insurance company. We strongly advise that you discuss any changes to your plan with your Human Resources representative at your employer during the course of treatment, as well as advise our billing office of those changes.
